All of us have parents...at least those of us with a belly button! So, like it or not, you have to deal with it. Sometimes it feels like they totally don't understand where we're coming from, but the fact is, they were once kids too. Granted, they didn't grow up in this generation, but they might actually have some good stuff to say if we actually listened. Another thing that I realized is that this is my parents first time being parents. (unless they had kids when they were 10 that I never found out about!). So, next time your parents do something that seems like a mistake, it might be, so cut them some slack. At the end of the day we know our parents love us no matter what and even though their rules seem ridiculous sometimes, it's just cause they care.
