CoffeeHouse Conversations: What is Truth?

Talking about truth and worldviews can be pretty confusing. It’s easy to get lost in the discussion and to give up and not know what’s going on. This happens because not only do we not talk about this very often, but its also easy to get mixed up with how certain words are being used and being defined.

Karaoke Night!

This past Monday was Karaoke night! We heard it all: Current hits and classics, 80's pop and Hip hop, Taylor swift and Michael Jackson. Some were good, and others we loved to hate. No matter if people enjoyed your song or not, thanks for having the courage to get up and sing!

American Idol--Who do you look up to?

The word "idol" isn't something we usually think about. Nor do we ever really believe that we have idols of our own. I mean, we can easily recognize the presence of idols in other peoples' lives, but when it comes to our own, we aren't too willing to admit anything.

2010 Manhunt!

You guys found people with tons of piercings, people wearing pajamas, men in tights, cheerleaders and even someone with B.O.! We ended up packing the warehouse with over 100 students.

We got to see what was coming up at Campus Life, see some students eat "european" jello and deem this year's manhunt champions!

How do you define Success? Is it how much money make or how much stuff you have? In the end, that "stuff" isn't going to be what matters. Who has expectations for you in your life? Are you able to meet them?

Christmas Auction

You guys did a great job raising money for our Christmas family this monday. Not everyone is blessed with presents under their tree, but thanks to you guys this family will be. All together you raised over $500! We had a lot of fun bidding on gifts and waxing Eric and Ryan! We won't be meeting for the next two mondays, but hope everyone enjoys their break and has a Merry Christmas!
